Ellen Furnari, PhD, has been teaching mindfulness since 2010 in a variety of settings, including programs for educators, community groups, and correctional facilities. She believes that integrating mindfulness into everyday life fosters greater calm, resilience, and self-awareness by helping us recognize what is happening in the present moment and understand what we can—and cannot—control.
